Our Senior Partner, David Cowburn, has been accepted onto the Goldman Sachs Scholarship style Business Growth Programme that is known as Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK. This philanthropic venture from Goldman Sachs aims to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services.
This works through providing world class education from leading UK Universities including Oxford University, Leeds University and Aston University alongside online and in person learning through 100 hours of high quality tuition, over a four month programme, but perhaps most importantly, peer group learning.
David said “Armitstead Barnett has grown sustainably over many years and pretty much organically. The last 12-24 months have seen some higher levels of growth and we believe we can capitalise on that to the benefit of all of what we call ‘AB People’, these being our valued team members, clients and suppliers and hopefully everybody that we come into contact with through our business lives.
We aren’t looking for growth just for the sake of it but we want to continue to attract and of course retain the best people and in order to do that we need to show them a clear path and structure within our business. We want to keep the fun nature of what we do alive and wherever possible maintain the family feel. These are exciting times.”
The programme started in Late April 2018 and finishes at the end of July.
